PS: I’ve tried placing my phone at various locations - in my pocket, cup holder, wireless charging pad tray, etc. So I end up switching to that interface when CarPlay messes up, which is now like 75% of the time. Native Ford navigation has been flawless from day one. The moment I disconnect my CarPlay, the GPS fixes itself and I’m at the right spot on the map.

I’ve noticed this is a broader GPS issue with my iPhone, because it affects both Google and Apple Maps. It thinks I’m at my previously visited area like 10mi away! In other cases it randomly moves the GPS location all over the map while driving and not really on the street I’m on.

Tap Directions and choose Drive, Walk, Transit, or Ride. Select the route and tap Go.I primarily use Google maps with wireless CarPlay (13 pro max / iOS 16.2), but almost every other time my GPS gets super messed up and it never updates my location.

To find your car, open Maps and tap Search > Parked Car from the list.
